Mimoh Chakraborty and Jeet Madnani Reveal Their Insights on "Khakee: The Bengal Chapter"

'Khakee: The Bengal Chapter It narrates an intriguing tale of crime, power, and law enforcement situated in early 2000s Kolkata.

The compelling storyline, jointly penned by Neeraj Pandey , Debatma Mandal , along with Samrat Chakraborty, explores themes of crime, corruption, and political clout, as a dedicated law enforcement officer endeavors to reinstate justice.

Speaking to ANI, director Debatma Mandal He shared his insights about collaborating with the cast of the show, stating, "The experience of working alongside legends in the field was exceptional... Our objective was to assemble top-tier performers hailing from Bengal since our narrative revolved around their culture, and we aimed to join forces with the finest artists possible. Thanks to divine providence, we succeeded in recruiting these remarkable individuals for the series."

Directed by Debatma Mandal and Tushar Kanti Ray, this sequel to Neeraj Pandey 's ' Khakee: The Bihar Chapter '(2022)' includes a star-studded lineup from Bengal’s film industry with renowned actors such as Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, and Saswata Chatterjee.

Actor Mimoh Chakraborty mentioned, "I reached out to the casting directors, who then provided me with the script. After my audition, I waited without receiving any response for about two weeks; I assumed I hadn’t secured the role. On my first day of shooting, I felt incredibly overwhelmed. Being a huge admirer of Neeraj Sir, this has turned into an amazing experience.”

Aakanksha Singh, the actress, mentioned that only a handful of performers have the chance to take part in productions across various languages. She expressed her gratitude for being involved in such multilingual ventures, stating, "Working on projects in multiple languages makes me feel incredibly fortunate... My appetite for quality roles remains strong, and I am hopeful that my involvement in 'Khakee' will lead to more opportunities..."

Jeet Madnani had been eager to take on a Hindi project for a considerable period, "I have been keen to work on a Hindi project for quite some time, and when Neeraj presented me with this opportunity, I grabbed it because it aligned perfectly with what I had been anticipating for such a long duration."

Previously, Chitrangada Singh, who portrays Nibedita, expressed her excitement about the character, stating, "I immediately fell in love with Nibedita. It’s fascinating how people can lead vastly different lifestyles at times, and these kinds of characters really capture my interest. Roles that are emotionally intricate—where resilience, vulnerabilities, affection, and suffering coalesce—are what captivate me the most. The moment I learned about Nibedita, I felt compelled to take on this part."
