
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating that snow will occur above elevations of 1,400 and 1,700 meters, accompanied by powerful winds and sporadic dust storms, across multiple areas of Morocco for both Sunday and Monday.
Under an orange-level weather warning, authorities have stated that accumulations of snow reaching up to 40 centimeters are anticipated in the regions of Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Boulemane, Ifrane, and Sefrou, beginning at midnight on Sunday and lasting through 1:00 PM on Monday.
Furthermore, snow accumulation of up to 25 centimeters is predicted in regions higher than 1,700 meters within the provinces of Guercif, Taza, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Khenifra, and Midelt, spanning from 9:00 AM on Sunday through 1:00 PM on Monday.
Powerful wind gusts with speeds of 70 to 85 kilometers per hour, along with isolated dust storms, are predicted for multiple areas across various regions such as Taourirt, Guercif, Figuig, Boulemane, Jerada, Oujda-Angad, Taza, Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, Chtouka Ait Baha, Tiznit, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Guelmim, Assa-Zag, Tan-Tan, and Sidi Ifni on Sunday.
