IGP Deploys 38 New Command Personnel Across Police Formations

On Friday, The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun commanded the immediate relocation of 38 Police Commissioners to different state commands and formations.

The information was included in a press release distributed to journalists in Abuja by the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Assistant Commissioner of Police ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

As stated, "The police commissioners assigned to various states comprise CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba for Zamfara State, CP Bretet Emmanuel Simon for Taraba State, CP Christopher Ado Emmanuel for Yobe State, CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin for Cross River State, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman for Niger State, CP Sani Omolori Aliyu for Bauchi State, CP Bello Shehu for Katsina State, CP Saka Adewale Ajao serving as the Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and CP Ojo Adekimi for Kwara State."

The organization further stated that the deployment involves assigning 29 CPs to different police units as part of an extensive initiative aimed at tackling increasing security issues and guaranteeing efficient law enforcement that addresses the requirements of local communities.

As stated, "Every Community Police unit will have to implement customized plans that address the specific needs of their individual groups, guaranteeing that law enforcement activities are forward-thinking and efficient."

The statement also noted that the IGP instructed the recently assigned CPs to focus primarily on reducing insecurity and improper behavior, emphasizing the Nigeria Police Force’s dedication to maintaining law and order via proactive, intelligence-driven policing strategies.

As stated therein, the deployment showcased the commitment of the newly appointed Police leaders to guarantee that the Nigeria Police Force is adequately prepared to tackle the difficulties associated with upholding peace and security within the nation.
