17 Arrested in County Lines Operation Crackdown

Seventeen individuals were taken into custody when law enforcement officers confiscated thousands of pounds worth of narcotics and money during operations throughout the West Midlands.

Several search warrants were executed by the West Midlands Police on Wednesday as part of an operation aimed at tackling county lines drug trafficking in the region.

Raid operations in Coventry resulted in eight individuals getting apprehended and over £650,000 worth of narcotics and money being confiscated.

A police representative stated that all individuals who were detained have now faced charges related to activities such as producing marijuana, carrying weapons, and engaging in reckless driving.

During raids at seven locations in Birmingham and Sandwell, officers arrested eight individuals and confiscated cash along with Class A narcotics.

Two individuals from Birmingham have subsequently faced charges for conspiring to supply cannabis.

Raid operations took place in Wolverhampton and Walsall as well, resulting in the seizure of cash and suspected narcotics, along with the arrest of an individual.
