
According to the most recent report on the overall reconstruction initiative, a total of 33,636 households have successfully finished the restoration and revitalization of their residences, which had been partly or completely ruined due to the Al-Haouz earthquake.
Lih, the Director General of the Great Atlas Development Agency, presented these statistics at an interministerial committee meeting focused on supervising the initiative, led by Aziz Akhannouch on Tuesday. Additionally, he mentioned that 14,463 houses have progressed with over half of their construction finished, and rebuilding activities are currently taking place in 52,669 residences.
The gathering underscored the conditions of housing in hard-to-access regions, where interventions were carried out for 4,633 residences spanning 12 villages. This effort involved moving 1,378 households to locations with accessible plots for building homes.
Moreover, families whose residences were fully or partly demolished still benefit from emergency aid, recently prolonged for an additional five months, with the overall support amounting to 2.3 billion dirhams.
