New York University has announced that it will introduce policy modifications following an ultimatum from the Trump administration.
On Friday, the US Ivy League institution, Columbia University, consented to enact a series of contentious policy alterations, encompassing a comprehensive restructuring. university's rules for protest while reviewing its Middle Eastern studies program.
The modifications were introduced one week following the announcement from the Trump administration that stated universities must enact these changes to maintain their eligibility for federal funds.
The Trump administration's demand has been broadly criticized as an assault on educational independence.
