Israeli Official: Stay in Lebanon Will Continue Until Lebanese Army Takes Full Control

A representative from Israel stated to Al-Arabiya television on Friday that they "intend to prevent the restocking of weapons for Hezbollah and won’t accept merely overseeing this process."

"We will remain in Lebanon until we confirm that the Lebanese Army has complete control," the official stated.

"The presence of our troops at the five locations in Lebanon aligns with the surveillance protocol," the official further stated.

The Israeli representative additionally charged that the Lebanese Army was "attempting to take control over certain regions in the south but neglecting operations in other areas."

"Israel will not establish rules of engagement with Hezbollah; military action will serve as the solution," the official stated.

"Israel will focus on stopping the financing of Hezbollah as well as the movement of funds to the group," the official further stated.
