
New Delhi [India], March 21 (ANI): Jon Lewis Has resigned from his role as the head coach of England's women's team. After assessing England's 16-0 loss in the Women's Ashes in Australia, which followed their elimination in the group stage at the T20 World Cup in October, the decision was made. I've immensely appreciated my tenure as the head coach of England's women's team. Unfortunately, I will not be completing this highly demanding yet rewarding role where we aimed to nurture these talented youngsters while achieving victories and advancing women’s cricket domestically. Clare Connor , the managing director for England's women's teams and deputy CEO of the England and Wales Cricket Board ( ECB ), thanked Jon Lewis He stated, "I want to express my gratitude to Jon for everything he has contributed during his tenure as head coach."
Connor discussed England's squad's recent disappointments in the T20 World Cup and the Women's Ashes, expressing his views on these setbacks. ECB will soon announce Lewis's replacement. Additionally, he mentioned that we should prepare for the summer since there will be two World Cups occurring within the coming 15 months.
Although the recently concluded ICC Women's T20 World Cup and Women's Ashes in Australia were not up to our expectations, there’s no questioning the caliber of players at our disposal.
