"We had only just launched March Motel in Nyamapanda when we suffered a significant loss that nearly brought us down. However, surrendering was simply not part of our vocabulary," she stated.
Currently, her business empire provides jobs for more than 50 individuals, establishing her as one of the biggest local employers within the district. Additionally, nearby farmers have gained advantages because she sources fresh products directly from them, thus providing a consistent demand for their offerings.

As the supervisor, my responsibilities include managing personnel, monitoring incoming and outgoing processes, and making sure that legal requirements like payments to organizations such as Zimra and Nssa are fulfilled.
Even with her busy schedule as the head of March Trading, Mai Madzeka recognizes the significance of maintaining equilibrium.
She arranges various community gatherings like Valentine’s Day festivities, music performances, and beauty contests at Nyamakwere Hotel, with breaks taken two times annually for family holidays.
As a devoted follower of Christianity, she draws comfort from consistent participation in church services. Beyond her work in the hospitality sector, she commits herself to charitable causes and advocates for the betterment of her local community.
For example, she has gifted cows for milking purposes to the Mother of Peace orphanage, supported the schooling of underprivileged kids, and participated on multiple community committees.
The key to her success? "Disregard superstitions and put in hard work. Honesty is the best policy here. It’s essential to meet the needs of your employees, ensure timely payments to suppliers, and keep positive relations with financial backers," she stated.
