
Guwahati (Assam) [India], March 22 (ANI): A group of five members Supreme Court Judges delegation Led by Chief Justice BR Gavai, the bench arrived at this conclusion. Guwahati head to the airport to depart for Imphal, Manipur .
The delegation comprising Justices BR Gavai Surya Kant, Vikram Nath, MM Sundresh, KV Viswanathan, N Kotishwar, and others are set to undertake a planned visit. Manipur relief camps today.
Justice Gavai, who serves as the Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), will open legal aid and health clinics via video link in every district. Manipur , along with newly established legal aid clinics in the Imphal East, Imphal West, and Ukhrul districts.
Essential relief supplies will also be distributed to internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Legal aid stations will link internally displaced persons with governmental support initiatives, guaranteeing their eligibility for essential provisions like medical care, retirement funds, job programs, and assistance in recreating identification documents.
Earlier on March 18, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh welcomed the decision of the six Supreme Court judges who will visit relief camps in violence-affected Manipur , on March 22, aimed at bolstering legal and humanitarian assistance.
Addressing ANI, Jairam expressed doubt over the postponement of implementing the President's rule in the conflict-ridden state.
