And with the rerouting and changes of schedule on public transportation, we've had customers specifically say that they can't come here anymore because the bus schedule doesn't work for them, or the bus stops that they use aren't feasible or practical," he explained.
Williams further noted a decline in walk-in sales since the bridge closure began, reporting an 8 to 10% decrease in this crucial revenue stream. Walk-in business accounts for approximately 70% of The Laundry Room's total revenue, making the impact of the bridge closure particularly significant.
The Port District is carefully weighing the potential benefits and drawbacks of the expanded water taxi service.
