Phu My Hung Collaborates with EQuest for Education Hub in Hanoi

Phu My Hung, the developer of Hong Hac City, has entered into a strategic partnership with EQuest to create an education complex within the township. This collaboration was formalized on July 18 and aims to establish a comprehensive K-12 educational facility that will serve students from primary through high school.

The planned education complex is set to include eight schools, with an anticipated capacity of around 2,500 students once completed. The curriculum will integrate Vietnam's national education program with a Cambridge pathway, as well as specialized programs in STEM, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, arts, and life skills. This combination is expected to provide a well-rounded education that meets both local and international standards.

The education complex will span over 22,000 square meters and will be developed in two phases. The first phase includes a three-story kindergarten and a five-story integrated school on a site of nearly 11,000 square meters. The campus, designed by Gensler Architecture Design Firm, is scheduled to begin operations and enroll its first students in September 2028.

Gary Tseng, General Director of Phu My Hung Development Corporation and Chairman of Vietinbank Trade Union Investment Joint Stock Company (VTU), emphasized that the partnership is intended to be a long-term collaboration focused on education and future workforce development. He highlighted the importance of creating a sustainable educational environment that supports the growth of the community.

Truong Hoang Nam, Chief Financial Officer of EQuest, mentioned that the project builds upon the company’s existing cooperation with Phu My Hung in South Saigon, where EQuest operates the Canadian International School (CIS) and Sedbergh Vietnam. He noted that the Hong Hac City project represents an expansion of this partnership into northern Vietnam.

Nam also pointed out that Bac Ninh has been attracting increasing domestic and foreign investment, along with a growing number of professionals, which has led to a higher demand for quality education options. "We do not view education as simply an amenity within an urban development but as an important component of social infrastructure," he said.

According to an EQuest representative, the educational complex at Hong Hac City is expected to become one of the highlights of the northern educational ecosystem over the next 10 years, offering high-quality educational services to local and surrounding residents. David Armstrong, EQuest's Vice President for Academic Affairs and International Relations, stated that the school would combine Vietnam's national curriculum with international programs from the United Kingdom and the United States. The company is also developing exclusive tuition policies for Hong Hac City residents once the school begins operations.

On the same day, Phu My Hung unveiled the second show house in its Bespoke Collection at Hong Hac City. Bui Duy Toan explained that the new model differs from the first show house, which featured a modern Indochine style, by adopting a Japanese Zen-inspired design developed in collaboration with Nomura. The concept emphasizes natural materials, open space, and a connection with the surrounding environment. "We want to offer customers a wider range of lifestyle choices," he said, adding that additional show houses with different design themes may be introduced in the future.

Phu My Hung representatives noted that the company will provide move-in-ready interior furnishing packages tailored for immediate occupancy, with a special focus on foreign expats. These packages, implemented in collaboration with trusted, long-standing partners, ensure exceptional workmanship and perfect harmony with the overarching design concept.

Hong Hac City in Song Lieu Ward, Bac Ninh Province, is jointly developed by Phu My Hung Development Corporation and Nomura Real Estate Vietnam, with Vietinbank Trade Union Investment Joint Stock Company (VTU) serving as the project's legal entity. According to the developer, constructing this school in the first phase and rolling out fully-finished homes are the next steps in Hong Hac City's development roadmap as an integrated township. The goal is to complete a full range of educational, commercial, healthcare, cultural, leisure, and green facilities for residents.
