The Director General of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, announced that starting March 2025, all corps members will receive their updated monthly stipend of seventy-seven thousand naira directly into their accounts.
He stated that both the Scheme and the Federal Government are attentive to their welfare and will keep ensuring that their well-being remains a top priority consistently.
On Friday, the Director General shared this information during an interaction with corps members at the Wuse and Garki NYSC zonal offices in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja.
General Nafiu expressed his gratitude to the Corps Members for their selfless dedication to the country and encouraged them to stay composed, committed, concentrated, and well-disciplined.
He praised the visionary behind the Scheme for coming up with this concept, urging everyone to unite and support the initiative.
General Nafiu further stated that the NYSC is an excellent program designed to construct bridges and introduce graduating students to the cultural heritage of regions beyond their origins, allowing them to gain valuable knowledge and insights.
He went on to say that the management will keep promoting patriotism, discipline, self-control, strong moral values, leadership skills, and collaboration among each new group of corps members.
Starting in March, your monthly allowance will be 77,000 Nigerian naira.
"NYSC excels in maintaining records, and I can guarantee that your funds will be distributed. Both the nation and the scheme value your contribution," he stated.
On behalf of her fellow corps members from Garki Zone, Corps Member Zaka Deborah Alheri FC/24A/5831 praised the Director-General for his diligent work toward increasing their monthly stipend.
