On Thursday, Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, encouraged the recently designated village leaders (Dagatai) within the Tarauni Local Government Area to maintain honesty and uprightness in their governance. He emphasized that these qualities will be crucial for promoting harmony and progress in their respective areas.
The inaugural sovereign monarch issued the statement during his speech soon after appointing the new Dagacin Unguwar Gano, Alhaji Mansur Abdullahi, and the new Dagacin Darmanawa, Umar Bello (Dalladi Mai Unguwa).
As stated by Adamu Hotoru, the information officer for Tarauni Local Government, Sanusi stressed the significance of impartiality and equity in their governance. He called upon them to maintain safety within their jurisdictions by alerting authorities about any questionable characters they encounter.
He emphasized that leadership entails responsibilities and urged them to strive hard for community advancement, remain accessible to their constituents, join hands with elder statesmen, and comply with the regulations set forth by the Kano Emirate and the government.
Alh. Ahmed Sekure, the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, conveyed his gratitude to Emir Sanusi and the District Head of Darmanawa, Alhaji Mujitafa Abubakar, for their role in facilitating the appointments of the new village chiefs.
Consequently, he urged the inhabitants of Unguwar Gano and Darmanawa to back their newly elected officials in achieving effective governance and harmony.
The District Head of Darmanawa, Alhaji Mujitaba Abba Abubakar (Sarkin Yakin Kano), similarly encouraged the recently appointed village leaders to stay dedicated to tackling problems like substance misuse and collaborate closely with the emirate to maintain community stability and advancement.
The newly appointed Village Head of Unguwar Gano, Alhaji Mansur Abdullahi, along with the recently selected Village Head of Darmanawi, Mallam Umar Bello (also known as Dalladi Mai Unguwa), have committed their complete backing to both the District Head of Darmanawi and the Emir of Kano, as well as endorsing the leadership of the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government.
They urged their communities to collaborate with them, guaranteeing that their doors were always open for ideas and guidance to foster progress in the region.
