The Prologue came with some of the most affordable lease options across Honda’s range. This could potentially change for 2025, so you should move quickly.
Honda's Prologue EV has become an enormous success The automobile company is confident about relying on customer loyalty as purchasers consider moving from a hybrid vehicle to one that is completely electric. Additionally, it undoubtedly played in their favor that the Prologue was available with some of the most affordable leasing options Across the whole Honda range, this seems set to change with the 2025 models, so you might want to hurry up.
The prologue might lack the breakneck speed of a Tesla Model Y Performance or the swift recharge capability of a Hyundai Ioniq 5, yet it’s skilled, adept, and remarkably down-to-earth None of its flaws prevented Honda enthusiasts from propelling this model into being one of the top-selling electric vehicles globally, even surpassing its counterparts based on the same GM platform last year.
In the 2025 model year, the Prologue sees an improvement with increased power and extended range, similar to the enhancements found in all Ultimum series vehicles.
Even though the advertised prices stay unchanged, taking a look at Honda’s leasing options suggests that this particular model may not attract buyers as easily—initially anyway.

When comparing the prologues from 2024 to 2025, potential lessees will notice a significant increase in payments. Specifically, a 2024 Prologue EX AWD carries a monthly fee of $269 plus an upfront charge of $3,199 upon signing. Consequently, this leads to an overall lease expense of approximately $12,883 (excluding taxes and additional fees) over a period of three years.
However, the 2025 Prologye EX AWD model has an advertised rate of $599 per month with $4,299 due at signing. That is an effective lease cost of $25,863 (again, before tax and fees) for a 36-month term. Even though Honda has not changed the sticker price for the 2025 model year, the lease programs are twice the cost, versus the previous model year.
According to Autotrader.com Currently, there are approximately 2,850 units of the 2024 Prologue remaining on dealer lots, as opposed to roughly 4,880 units of the 2025 model Prologue being available. Could the significant increase in prices for the 2025 Prologue suggest that ultra-affordable electric vehicle leasing deals might be drawing to a close? It's difficult to determine, yet an examination of promotional offers from automakers like Hyundai, Kia, GM, and Volkswagen reveals that they continue to advertise quite affordable monthly rates for their 2025 models.
However, everyone understands that these lease agreements won’t endure indefinitely. Given the uncertainty surrounding electric vehicle tax incentives and the possibility of tariffs increasing purchase costs, prospective lessees might not wish to delay their decision for long. It’s definitely worthwhile to compare leasing options from different manufacturers as well.
