Meanwhile, Maharashtra Has seen heated political discussions surrounding the Nagpur unrest, which broke out following the Mahayuti administration’s call for the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb from what is now known as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

Amid ongoing criticism from the opposition regarding the Nagpur unrest, Shinde retaliated against the Shiv Sena (UBT) group by drawing parallels between himself and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while alleging that the opposition was prioritizing power-sharing deals.

In providing specifics about the unrest in Nagpur, Shinde condemned Samajwadi Party member Abu Azmi over his comments regarding Aurangzeb. He charged the group led by Uddhav Thackeray with political duplicity, claiming that despite their public opposition to the BJP, they had privately considered forming an alliance with them.

"In 2022, I didn’t engage in any covert activities. All my actions were transparent and carried out with courage. However, your leadership (the Thackeray group) held secret meetings with BJP officials, showing readiness for an alliance before reversing their position," stated Shinde in the Council.

In response to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Parab's assertion that he was allegedly treated akin to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj to change political affiliations, Shinde refuted the accusation.

“What suffering did you endure? I am aware that you too surrendered following the actions taken against you. However, upon your release from the case, you pivoted similar to your leadership,” Shinde stated. (ANI)
