Putin Faces 'Severe Consequences' If He Violates Ceasefire, Warns International Community

Vladimir Putin is set to confront " severe consequences If he breaches the ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer cautioned.

Starmer delivered this caution to the Russian leader during a gathering with representatives from 31 distinct nations at the Northwood military facility in northern London.

The UK leader stressed that Moscow wouldn’t have the ability to block Ukraine’s choice of self-defense measures through its veto power, despite this fact. Putin has called for the nation's disarmament as part of a peace accord.

" The purpose of these security measures is to convey to Russia that significant repercussions will follow if they violate any agreement. ," Starmer told reporters.

" That’s why a US element is necessary; to make sure Putin understands there will be significant repercussions if he crosses the line. The aim of this strategy is to guarantee stability—similar to what we have upheld in Estonia and across all the nations where our forces are stationed. ," he added.

Starmer also made clear that the UK has no plans to deploy British soldiers to Ukraine, since the Ukrainian armed forces are already " one of the strongest " in Europe.
