School Election 2026: Voting Dates, Locations, and Ballot Info in Onondaga County

Residents throughout New York state will cast their votes on Tuesday for school budgets, capital initiatives, and members of the school board.
To be eligible to vote, you must be:
- 18 years of age or older.
- Enrolled with the district Board of Voter Registration or the local county Board of Elections.
- A person from the United States.
- A person who lives in the area where you are casting your vote for at least 30 days before the election.
Onondaga County

Schools in other counties: You can locate comparable details on the websites of most school districts.
Syracuse:City inhabitants and individuals in the state's other major five cities (New York City, Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers) are not allowed to vote on school funding proposals. These financial plans are part of each city's overall budget. In Syracuse, the mayor presents the budget, which is then approved by the Common Council.
