
Washington D.C., [India], March 18 (ANI): The crime-themed TV show ' Snowfall ' has officially been granted a pilot by the streaming platform FX According to Deadline, actors Gail Bean and Isaiah John will be reprising their roles as Wanda and Leon, respectively.
As reported by Deadline, the spin-off will extend the original narrative, taking place in 1990s Los Angeles during the shift from the drug era to the rise of gangsta rap in South Central.
Actress Gail Bean's character would act as the bridge between the original series and its spin-off, anticipated to feature additional principal roles.
Apart from Wanda and Leon from the initial show, it remains unclear whether any additional surviving characters might make an appearance in the upcoming project. Auditions are set to start soon, with reports indicating that the pilot will commence production this summer, as stated by Deadline.
The project hails from Snowfall It's Dave Andron, Thomas Schlamme, Julie DeJoie, Michael London, and Trevor Engelson who will serve as executive producers. They will work alongside writer Malcolm Spellman.
The spinoff is of FX 's Snowfall The show wrapped up after six seasons. It was developed by John Singleton, Eric Amadio, and Dave Andron. The series featured Damson Idris Carter Hudson, Emily Rios, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Michael Hyatt, Amin Joseph, Gail Bean, and Isaiah John starring in the main roles.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also helmed "Top Gun: Maverick," the film narrates a tale of redemption centered around Brad Pitt’s character, an F1 racing driver, according to the released trailer.
